Out in the woods and went over a log with my argo conquest took a litle bounce and the windshield frame bent at the wipper motor. windshield was straped down and it still broke.
anyone replace there's with polycarb or lexan? |

You can do the swap to one of the plastics. If you use the wipers it will scratch a bit but they can be polished out. I've got a window frame that I'm going to put plastic in. |

After 2 breaks, we went to a Lexan based window. It does not seem to seal as well on the bottom edge. but that could be the workmanship more than the Lexan. It ended up being cheaper then a tempered glass replacement.

What has been used for polishing plastic?
I've used clear coat auto polish and umm, Brasso , from a tip on polishing CD and DVD's. |

Just about any mild abrasive then get progressively finer. There is even plastic polish commercially available. Nik sand works well too. |

I spelled "nik sand" and it is nicsand after I looked at the bottle. It is nicsand sanding gel. The bottle I have is over 10 years old but the stuff lasts a long time. It is supposed to be equal to 10,000 grit. I use it on the plastic headlights on my cars and it works well on the paint too. I've also used it on overhead lights on patrol cars. IT is a bit messy because it flys all over the place. I used it on a lexan windshield I had in my old Willys and it took out wiper scrathes. |

Len,
I've used a product called "FLITZ". It is a ultrafine rubbing compound with polish mixed in. It will work very well. There is also a plastic polish that is made by the "THE WAX SHOP". It is used by drag racers. It is avaiable from places like Jeg's and Summit. |
