Have you tried heating them with a torch? There are some other penetrating solutions that might work better. PB Blaster Penetrating Catalyst, Kroil is also very good.

I'm in the process of removing the axles on an Argo and am having trouble with it getting the piece to come apart. I had one axle that was a total pain and I finally took a torch to it and removed the axle in pieces. Then I hit it with a grinder until I could get the sprockets off and get the outer flange. On the Argo the axles get a wear pattern on the axle shaft so I was going go to either throw it away or get a hard surface on it. After a day of battling with it, it was not cost effective to put any more time into it.

So that is a option to get it out then replace the components.

I had the same problem getting my Max IV sprocket off. I tried wd40 pb blaster and other stuff for about a month soaking it several times a day i tried heat from a torch i couldnt get enough heat on it without hurting anything else. I actually ended up cutting the axle on the outside of the tub. I was replacing bearings so that gave me what i needed to replace them. I cut at an angle and marked the cut so when i had it welded back it is straight. It is working great. on my max iv it would take several cuts to get the axle out to replace it if the sprocket dont come off.
