I have owned three Argos six-wheelers since 1981. All of them are mid-70's models. Two of them have 7/8" axles with balloon tires. The third one has 1" axles with sleeves and sprockets welded on with rims and tires. My question is: On old brochures they mention late 70's and early 80's having 1 1/4" axles. Do these have sleeves or are they splined or is there another type? When did the splined axles come out?
