could some one please tell me how to find the vin# on a max II,and how do you tell the year.

Scott,

Our AATVs are not street legal vehicles. They do not have a VIN number. Instead, they have a model number and a serial number. RI ought to be able to give you a year from those numbers.

Scott, there should be a metal plate pop riveted to the left side of the upper body right above the seat. The serial number should be on that plate. You can call RI and they can usually give you the year (unless it is really old). If the plate is gone, you are probably out of luck. the tranny will also have a serial number as will the engine, but neither of them is reliable as to age.
