Hi I could use some advise on mounting a winch to my rollbar frame. What I did was circle the Max with 2x2 angleiron. I left a three inch gap in the front between the bumper and Max. I am installing eighth inch steel plate with one end bent up 90 degrees to match the flat spot on the front of the Max. For maximum pulling power I want to mount a plate behind this flat spot. Can someone tell me how the factory winch plate attaches, I have the general sandwich concept but how big is it and where is it placed. How do you avoid holes rubbed into the gas tank? When you install the factory plate do you have to remove the top of the Max. . |
