May be a silly question, but, does anybody ever, or is it even suggested, to rotate the tires on a Max. If so what way is suggested? Thanks

Jim, i have actually rotated the tires on my ARGO several times in the past few years since i got them. I found that by moving them around, the ones that were wearing faster (fronts) were better towards the back and let the ones with more tread on them take over the load for a while. Later on, the bearings on the front of the ARGO went and after a while, i was noticing that the tires weren't wearing on the contact area where they usually wear, they were wearing on the side of the tire, almost at the edge of where the tread stops and the side wall of the tire is. It wore bald in that spot and started doing it on the other side at the front also. I finally got it overhauled this spring and they moved those tires to the back where they do the least amount of work and while i still have very litte tread on any of the tires, their is enough on the sides of the tire to continue running in the water if i needed to. I also use the ARGO on hard roads at the cottage, not asphalt but that rough hardpacked gravel with the hardtop on it. Shreads tires fast if they are on there too often but thats the only place around my cottage directly to run the argo- i take it to other places when i can but if im only there a weekend, its not worth it- They are runnamuck tires, and they aren't really durable on hard packed roads where it takes a lot to turn them. I also rotate the tires around occasionally before or after the tracks go on or off, not sure if it makes a difference or not though. I keep all my tires at 2.5 psi and lower that if i know im going to be in muckky areas or in the bush for a while but otherwise, im running on roads or fields and find it a bit easier to turn wiht less tire on the ground. No particular way when i move them, just take the fronts, put them either at the very back or second last (i have an 8x8) and just juggle the others around randomly. I don't know if you can take a tire form one side and move it to the other cause the valve stem would be the wrong way and if it was facing out, the tread is the wrong way.

Thanks David, good point about swapping the sides, guess it would be kind of hard to add air, or check the tire pressure if the stems were on the inside. Thanks for your input.
