Anyone have any experience with replacing a starter on Argo Conquest Kawasaki FD620? Argo Dealer and documentation implies that it can be replaced by just loosening brake cooling shroud. Others tell me that entire engine must be pulled. I can loosen brake cooling shroud and slide forward then remove upper starter mounting bolt but can not get at lower bolt. Removing transmission may be easier than removing engine. Anyone had any experience with this?

I was told to remove entire engine to get at starter but was able to remove by pulling the transmission only. Appears just the solenoid was bad and ordered a replacement here: www.dbelectrical.com
call toll free 800-753-2242
They had both starter and solenoid at better prices.
