I think I heard someone on here mention they used Bosch +4 spark plugs on they're max. I went to my local auto parts and they searched, but the say bosch doens't make a plug for that size. I have the Kholer 20HP engine. If anyone knows the nubers for the plugs or is using them, please let me know.

The Bosch plugs are 4418 for the Briggs engines. They are probably the same for the Kohler. Take one of your plugs to the parts store and see if it looks the same as the Bosch. They do not cross reference and I don't know why. I just looked through all AutoZone's spark plugs until I found a match.
I have 27 hours on these plugs and they are still the best ever. The carb has been running really rich to the point black smoke comes out of the exhaust. The Bosch keeps on firing while the NGKs and Champions plugs will quit.

To whom is ever interested the Bosch plugs for the 16HP Briggs is #7557 crossed from the champion RC12YC.Any PeP Boys Store can cross your numbers for you but they don't carry the Bosch.I got mine via a Speed/custon shop.Anyone having problems getting them I can probably get them for you.
Thanks,
Jerry

For the 16hp Briggs, for those that want......the Bosch Platinum4 number is 4418, the Pep Boys here has racks of Bosch plugs.

Has anybody put Bosch plus 4 plugs into an EFI Avenger? I put them in the Max IV about 3 yrs ago, on Brandon's recommendation, and I still like them. Is 4418 the right number for the Kohler EFI?
