Can someone please post the spec numbers for the Kohler Command 18HP and the 20HP engines out of a MAX. I am looking into purchasing one of these engines. Thank you

Kemp - I just replaced the Briggs 16hp in my Max IV with the Kohler 20hp. I got it from RI with all the changeover parts. I was told that the off-the-shelf Kohler engines will not work, as RI has the cranks machined down to 1" to accept their 1" clutch. They will also come with switch and panel that you don't need. The engine was $1300 or $1350 (forget which) and shipping was between $100 and $200 from NY to Wyo. I compared with what the local Kohler dealer could do and found that RI was giving me a good deal. Be glad to talk more about the changeover if it will be of help. Neil

Neil, what did you do with your blown 16hp? I lost your email when my old computer blew up so I never got back to you on that. Do you still have it?
