Mike, there is a left and a right band, and there used to be one end marked to hook to the plunger. Seems like the last band I put in did not have an end marked so I assume either end is OK, now. If you didn't take the plungers off the bands, I'm sure you are OK. If you switched the forward drive and reverse drive bands around, one might have been a little more worn than the other, but should not make any difference after adjustment. Maybe some one from the factory (or anyone else who knows) can correct me on this if necessary.

Sounds like your band adjustment after the rebuild left the right side a little looser than the left. I adjust to seven inches between one lateral all the way forward and the other all the way backward and make sure both laterals are even both forward and back. The hang-up in your lateral, I think, is because you didn't get enough Vaseline around and between your plunger o-rings (I call it plunger pop). Probably isn't more than an annoyance. You might tighten up your tension springs just a little or just remember to pop it al the way forward.

Mike, I am confused. If you have a 2001, it should have the splined axles. At any rate, if your hole is elongating, you can buy Richard's washers or fill up the space with weld. Chains too loose contribute to this problem - all the strain is put on the rear axles until the wheels have moved enough to engage the middle axle and so on.

I don't understand this problem with bearings. How many hours do you have on your machine?

fred, about 300 i would guess, the only brngs that need replaced, are the inner rear, and one primary
idler, according to ri it only comes with sprocket,i ordered new rear brng supports, these r sopposed to b easier to grease so that should fix my problem, just lack of attn on my part is reason for bad brng, but hey got all winter to take it apart and go over everything before the fish start biting, thku for the help
