I just bought an old Max II (i think that is what it is). i am looking for info on fixing a few cracks in the body and upgrading the engine to a 4 stroke. it has a Rockwell single cyl. engine, but that is about all i know about it right now.
any info would be appreciated! thx packrat |

what is your serial # i just picked up a very old max # 2378 it was built buy recreatives inc W.R grace & CO not recreative industry any one know how old it may be ? |

Pete, the argo in your profile, it is an I/C right? Was it 18 hp kohler or briggs. I don't know much at all about the I/C. |

my old max is a abs hull and is prodbly the oldes max in runnig shape . dave k my argo was a model kb with a 17 hp kohler in it |

i have an old abs maxII,serial#2840,a little newer
than yours pete.it still runs perfect and looks
excellent.doesnt really look to have been used much if you can believe that.it has never been
"hacked up"if you know what i mean.the people that think max hasnt changed their machines that much
over the years need to look at one of these rigs compared to a 2002 max. |
