Another one followed me home. It has a JLO 2 cylinder. Think it is a 400. It has no electric starter assembly or manual pull start assembly.

on the electric side, all it has is the large starter ring gear, which is approximately 12" in diameter and is exposed or visible. Could someone please advise me what I need to finish it out. I am looking at a JLO pn 197.11.996/00 electric starter. the dealer also advises the bosch pn is 2006209350. Any idea if this will fit and work on my engine.

On the pull start end. It does not have a housing assembly, although I am not sure if it might also need some dogs or catches to engine the engine when it is pulled.

Anybody help on either of the two questions.

Thanks

Steve

If you're looking at the "new vintage JLO electric starter" on E-bay, it will not fit your 2 cylinder JLO. It is smaller and it spins the wrong way.
