I installed the chains today, took two hours to put them on and about an hour and a half to take them off.
That's a long time but they worked like a charm.
I hauled two logs up this hill at once and this one single log towing the log arch and it crawled right up the hill until I hit the very top where it was solid ice under the snow.
Backed up and took a run at it and went over the top.
I couldn't get going too fast even in low because the chains would make contact with the body every now and then but other than that I think they'll work just fine for the few times a year I need to haul stuff up that hill.Giver Hell Hill

That's a very good idea for better traction with the flat plastic track .

It's 5/16 chain I think.
The problem with channel is it will hit the body as the track flexes with higher speeds and may cause damage to the body where as the chain is easier on the body.

Kevin, how is your power with those chains? At the elevation I'm at, using the super tracks and going up hill, often doesn't leave much power particularly if you doing any corrective braking for steering that just robs you of power.

There is no loss in power but you need to keep your speed down a bit.
