How about a water drag race. Lets say the water hole is about 50 feet across. There are 6 racers per elimination round. They all start at once and the start line is 50' from the water hole. They can hit the water hole fast or slow it up to the individual. The lanes are close enough that the racers get wet. The hole shots racers may be at a disadvantage as they get drowned from the slower folkes entering the water hole later. Make the opposit shore a bit tricky so that it takes skill not power to exit and reach the finish line. Even if this event doesn't work out it would make some excellent video.

I am wondering if anyone has information as to where old racing machines are kept. I know of a few, however they needed complete overhauls and the owners did not want to let me take them to events and use them, even though they have been in storage twenty years.
If anyone has information about racers please feel free to post it, I will follw up myself if I get the lead. I will be more than glad to do an interview with the person, even just to post it here and share the info.

Pete Cagle has a picture of one of the old springers on his site, and I've been trying to hunt down a couple old modifieds I think still exist. I'll post if I find any.

Slippery Rock Dunes (Slippery Rock, Norhteast PA) is hosting a Hare Scramble race on Sunday, January 29th. We've been talking with the track owner, and he's willing to open up a 6-wheeler class if we can get at least 6 AATVs in advance. Quite a few of our Attex owners over at AttexATVS.com will be there, but I wanted to extend the information to the whole community!

Trophies are a possibility as well. They have a great layout with a bunch of woods trails, an MX-style track, something for everyone! Find out more about the race on:

http://www.slipperyrockdunes.com

I don't know if they'll be having separate classes for amphibs or not. It would be great to see some old race machines show up for the event, or just have a few big four-stroke guys there as well. We need to have a good idea of who can make it ASAP, so the track can make plans. This is all coming together rather quickly, and should be an absolutely great time!
