Can someone tell me some of the rules and
regulations in IL? I am planning on buying a
6x6 and hoped for some advice from the
experts. Also, can anyone tell me of a good
place to find an aatv besides here and ebay?

Thanks, Cal

Eddie,
I am located in south east IL, about 30
minutes NW of Vincennes, Indiana in a little
town called Palestine. I was hoping for a used
6-wheeler in good shape, and in a reasonable
price range. I am not real picky about model or
brand, just something to go ride in. Also do
you know if there are any regulations I need to
know. I live out in the country and may use this
to go from place to place for farm work.
Thanks again,
Cal

Cal, If you use your machine in anything other than private ponds and lakes you need to register with IDNR. This means numbers, pfd, fire extinguisher, horn or whistle. Now on the land side, I would think a smv plackard would be ok for rural roads. You wouldnt have to register it for road usage as it is unlicenseable. Hope this clears some of your questions up. Eddie
