Sakir Richard is your best bet on a T-20. you will KNOW what your gettig. The cvt system consist of two clutches a "primary" or "drive" clutch and a "driven" or "secondary" clutch. The drive clutch is on the engine and the driven clutch is on the transmission. Although there are speed sensing units most are torque sensing.
They operate using springs, weights, moveable faces and centrifical force to constantly adjust in order to keep the engine in the correct rpm range. There is a ton of info on the internet about haoe they work. Comet Indusries is one of the maijor manufactures. if you start the build let us know and keep us posted bullwinkle
