HI Ken
I just began restoring a marsh model trackster.
To my knowledge there is no way to detach the sides from the rest of the hull. It is one fiberglass unit. It is still in the work shop so I don't know how it will perform__YET!

Trackster vs. Max - Dear Ken, I just bought a Max IV to supplement my fleet of 2 Tracksters, and here's my evaluation. I don't have tracks for the max yet. The tracksters do much better in snow than the max without tracks, however they don't float (not marsh models). The tracksters are easier to drive, are more precisely controllable, and you can stack and tie more gear on them. The max is faster, quieter, more dependable, easier to work on, less stinkey, and less likely to tip over frontwards. I go the max because I just didn't dare drive 30 year old tracksters any place I wasn't willing to walk out of when (not if) they break down. Good luck. Neil
