Looking at a used unit and need to know:

1. Exactly how wide is the HT from one side to the other at the tires. I need to know precisely due to the width of my trailer. The only factory info shows the unit to be 6 feet wide. However, it appears to be a little wider in the body. My trailer is 4 inches shy of 6 feet wide but the rails are low so if the tires will go in it should work.

2. Will the wheeles, tires and tracks for the HT fit on a Max and/or Argo? The tires are the size to be able to use tracks.

Thanks for your help. Ron

My H.T. is 6 feet 2 inches from outside tire grip to outside tire grip.BUT.You should call Brian at H.T. and ask him the difference between the width of my tires and the width of the standard tires that come with the unit.My tires are 28 inch high lifters and are probably wider than stock.

Thanks for the reply Spirit. I got the HT. It fit with about 1/2 inch clearance. Believe I'm going to like this ride. Got to get the motor working properly. Does fine at max RPM but won't idle worth a hoot. Will be requesting advise on here. I don't even have a manual yet. Hope I can get one from Brian. Already have a couple questions. Is the clutch/brake extremly difficult to disengage? It engages very easy but I have to put body wait on it to get it down. What is the small electrical button on top of the clutch box? Thanks again. Ron

I have a diesel but it sounds like your idle adjustment screw needs turning a little bit.
The manual you get will be on the engine only. There is no manual per se on the whole machine. You can get the info from Brian as to where to get a manual on the hydraulic pump if you feel you need it although there is really nothing to adjust on the pump itself.
The clutch/brake has a spring on it to keep it engaged and it's pretty tough. It has to be.You might also put a little oil on the cable to loosen it up some.As to the switch on top of the "clutch box" I'm not sure where that is.There really isn't a clutch on this thing in the true sense of the word. However,if you're talking about the switch near the clutch/brake lever, that is supposed to be an interior light that lights up the floor area.Maybe your bulb is defective.

Thanks for the reply Spirit. Yep, the switch works the light fine. I had tried it in bright sun light and never looked over where the light is (did'nt even know there was one):). Glad to know there isn't a problem with the c/b lever. I was a bit concerned that using that much force might be indicative of a problem that I might be making worse. Thanks again, I will probably be back with more questions. Ron
