I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm ready to head to Humphrey, NY in July. We didn't get to go last year so this year we've taken vacation days to be sure we can get away. Our rooms are booked and we are anxious to roll. Hope to meet a lot of new friends. See you in New York.

Humphrey is located in the south-western portion of New York. Another small town nearby is named Olean if

that helps.

We will be coming from the Southwestern tip (I messed up a couple of days ago and said Southeastern) Indiana. We'll be cutting up and accross the state of Indiana and Ohio. Once we get into New York on State Route 17, we'll feel like we have it whipped.

From what I was told late last year the event is being held on July 21st and 22nd. I believe, from what I've heard, that they also have a sort of "Trail End" get together on Friday night for those who can get there by then.

We are looking forward to going for the first time this year. We look forward to making new friends. You can never have too many friends.

See you in New York

Roger and Bonnie

Hey Chief John ...!
At the last get together there was a lot of talk floating around about a revamped mud pit/course for 2001. Strongly suggest that doubling the WIDTH of the pit would add to the fun! We all saw drivers that would still be doing circles in the mud if the pit if it had been wide enough for them to turn around.(GRIN)
Seriously ... Wider entry and exit points to the pit should reduce wear and tear on the track and provide drivers with a choice of exit points ... instead of forcing them to bottom out while trying to negotiate the severe ruts left by the preceeding "excavation" machinery.

Hi everyone. Besure to pay attention to Chief Johns message about the dates of the 2001 Humphreys Run. I had been given incorrect dates last september. Thank you John for posting the correct dates right away. I've called and changed our motel reservations and everything is cool again.

Thanks
Bonnie
