Ditto here- Lake Geneva- and it's tough. Lakes are starting to freeze over and that's been my only option so far. Let me know if anyone finds a spot.

Just ran across this link to Wisconsin ATV trails. Still not sure if real ATV's are allowed on the state ATV trails. Naturally none of the trails are in my area near Sturgeon Bay.

According to WI state reg.s, the 6 wheel AATV is not allowed on state land- can't be registered because it does not fit definition of ATV-"a rider sits astride an ATV". No registration=no riding on State land under heavy punitive fines. I was going to write the DNR and see what would be entailed in changing the regs to allow us to use the trails. There is also a width problem for the trails. If anyone has any input as to how other States handle this, I would be appreciative.

I live in the janesville area and have had the best luck with private snowmobile trails during the off season. most farmers will let you ride if you ask and dont damage their crops.( that one is a no brainer thou) you might even check out local snowmobile clubs for suggestions.

The Cheese Country Trail in Southwest Wisconsin is open to six and eight wheeled machines. This is a multi use trail and they allow golf carts, dirt bikes, horse & buggys, you name it. You need to purchase a six dollar trail pass before opperating on the trails. More info can be found @ http://www.watva.org/atvsouthwi.htm

Do you know other places in the area to ride? Please share them here!!!
