any body know any thing about a lockley 295

I had one years ago and would love to find another. I really wanted a 6 wheeler but a neighbor had one for sale cheap enough that my dad bought it for me. What do you need to know? I have some old pictures of mine. It had a JLO 295 single cylinder, torque converter and solid rear axle. The front tires were interchangable with skis for use in the winter. Mine didn't run often enough to really enjoy it.

Hi liflod, I have seen the lockley 295 that dave is talking about. It is in really nice shape and is compleate less the seat bottom. It looks as if it was ment to float but how would you come back on land with only the rear tires driving? It has no reverse. Did you ever float your's? Any photo would be nice. Matt

I was young when I had it. I got it for my 11th birthday. I don't think it was ever made to float. I remember the brake linkage coming through the fiberglass body. We use to call it "The Frog". If you look at it from the front it looks like a frog.The engine blew twice and my dad didn't feel like spending any money on it. I think it finally made it to the dump. When I get some time I'll dig out the pictures and scan them for you. If you look on this website in the old magazine articles, you will find a picture of one. There is only one picture on the internet and that is on route 6x6. I have searched everything I can think of and found nothing.Is the one you're talking about for sale. Where do you live? The lockleys were made either in Ohio or Pennsylvania.
