I have a 76 sierra trail boss and i can say that
they originally came out with a 20 hp kolher
they have good gear boxes don't worry about the tranny's ever going out the tranny's are simulair
to a bobcats tranny's and i can say that the body
is pholyeithaine or something like i don't know if it woould be the best to fix it with but i used rubber glue and it worked so far it has not leaked or broke lose after 30 hours of riding
the bad part of this machine is that the searpins will need peplacing everynow and then i can say that much they are fair 6x6 if you can find a 20hp kohler that would be the best moter it would fit easy

my email is sniper2sturgill@hotmail.com if you have any more questions

Rowland - If you are interested, there is a guy in Michigan who bought out Siera when they were going under. I talked to him on the phone and it sounds like he has tons of parts for these machines, including complete new body shells!! I recently bought a Siera Trail Boss and have bought some brand new parts from him like tires and body clips. Send me an email and I will send you his number.

What I would like to know is - does anyone know of a good way to stop these machines other than gradually throwing them into reverse? Are my transmissions out of adjustment?
