Hi everyone. This website is SO COOL! I own an 82 Honda 3 wheeler that still runs like a dream, but was looking for something bigger and better. I was Ebaying, and found an 80s vintage Argo 8 wheeler that I was able to purchase for around $1200.00 which was much less than any 4 wheeler and looks like a lot more fun. Now, the questions:
(1) It has a rebuilt 16hp Tecumseh engine. Should I consider replacing the engine with a 20hp, or are these enough for this big machines?

(2) What parts (considering the age) should I be most concerned about replacing first?

Also, I am wondering if anyone knows about any problems specific to this vintage of Argo that I should be on the lookout for. From what I have read, these are hardy and reliable. Any information that anyone can provide would be appreciated. I know this request is vague, but I am just getting into this and am not sure what to be on the lookout for. THANKS!!!!!

Dean,

If it's a single sylinder 16hp keep it they have more torque then the new twins believe it or not. I have known 2 people with the 16hp and although they are not fast they have alot of torque.
