Hi Folks, I've read lots of posts about swappin engines but has anyone tried a 4 stroke motorcycle engine? I have a mid 70's Argo with a non orginal 300 cc Yamaha snowmobile 2 stroke. It is underpowered. I'm thinkin about a 500-600 cc motorcycle engine and would swap the belt pully on the tranny for a sprocket. I think the M/C clutch would be a bonus as would the 5 or six speed tranny which I would ony use to select the range. If there are any other argonuts out there that have tried a conversion to a m/c engine i'd like to hear from you.

I thought about something like that but never got farther than thinking about the logistics of it.
I think it's possible but keeping it cool enough may be your biggest issue.
