Hello I'm thinking of trying to get my uncle's 1970 something Terra Jet off of him . I think it will need a fair bit of work , I am located in British colombia Canada and am worried about parts availability ect .The last tj dealer in this area went tits up nearly 30 years ago.I would like to hear from any tj owners on this board who live in this area as well as other owners who can give me some insight as to what I might be getting into. Is a restored tj reliable ?, how much am I going to have to spend,?any info would be appreciated.

well if louiseana U.S.A. isent too far to order parts from you can still get many of the parts you need for that baby, i have 2 1971 400-e modles
your restoration costs of coarse depend on the condition of the beast your trying to restore,
what i like about terra jet-U.S.A. is that they will go out and buy the older modles from people who wish to sell restorables and hold on to them for people who want them for parts or restoration,
they do have a link off route 6x6 links page, youd have to call them about your needs to find out what parts are still available, they can get you parts list, wireing diagrams and parts costs but the booklets cost a few bucks + shipping too your address,if memory serves they are causious folks like richard clark and will wait till your payment clears before shipping anything.
mayby if you send your payments by money orders it may speed up prosses,
hope your terra jets up n running soon, i think they can use upgrade to hydralick brakes from the cable thingy though, so if your fixing that part think about it, i figured a motorcycle or quad caliper and automotive cluch master cilinder might do the trick,
