Anyone out there that can E-mail me a picture of this alternator installed OR a copy of the illustrated parts breakdown for this setup? Frankly, I'm more than a little curious what $450.00 buys. Especially, since I understand I don't get a gold plated alternator.

I have one and am very pleased with it. The cost is installed, so maybe you can dicker if you want to install it yourself. You do need to pull the flywheel and disable the on-engine alternator though. When I open the hood most people's jaws drop when they see it. It does look super cool. It is a real automotive pulley-driven 45 amp alternator.

Kevinv,
I was planning on using the belt driven alternator set up to EXCLUSIVELY charge/maintain a marine deep cycle battery. I'm planning on using the marine battery to power a circuit ISOLATED from the rest of the vehicle. The circuit will be used to power an electric trolling motor and my electric winch. Do you know if disabling the on engine alternator is MANDATORY ... Because ... I was led to believe that I could install the belt driven alternator ... AND ... ALSO keep the on engine alternator to power everything else.

Disable the on-engine alternator only if you are going to be charging/running the primary electrical circuit. You will then of course have to fab your own harness, the one from ODG being well integrated into the original.
