I have just bought my first aatv of any kind. It's a 2001 Bigfoot and I was wondering if anyone out there has installed a fish finder/depth sounder on his and to ask the best way and place to put one.

Finding a place to mount the transducer would be the tricky part. No matter where you mount it, it's likely to get broke when going in or coming out of the water on rough ground. You'd also have to take it off when running on land or it's sure to get trashed. Bass-Pro sells a handy, stand alone unit (Bottom Line Fishin' Buddy 1200) for $170 that mounts similar to a trolling motor. That might be an option for you, and you can completely remove the whole thing in just a few seconds. Here's the link, hope it helps.

I don't know if it will work on the Argo, but I have a fishing buddy depth/fish finder that I put on the Max. The fishing buddy is a portable fish/depth finder and works great. Hope this helps you out.

I have a 2000 bigfoot and I have put a fishing buddy on mine. I hung it off the back with bracket and works great. This one is self contained unit with transducer attatched so I think it is the best way.
