I'd appreciate any ideas on the following problem. A few months ago my Max IV (with the Briggs 18) was stalling constantly after warming up and the only way you could coax it back to starting and keep it running was to play with it in mid-choke. Finally took it to be serviced and they said it was just water and a little dirt in the carb. Only run several hours since and now the problem is starting again. Someone suggested water could be getting in through condensation in the fuel tank working it's way into the carb. Anyone had this problem? Other than keeping the tank as full as possible all the time, any good ideas on how to stop it or at least make it less often. Does anyone make a special in-line filter that will trap water instead of just dirt. Would really appreciate some help as we just got first good snow and I don't want to keep missing the winter fun. Thanks.

SOME TIMES IT GETS IN THREW GAS CAP BREATHER, I COVER THE CAP WHENEVER POSABLE ON MY TERRA-JET,
HAS HELPED 100%
ALSO SMALL ENGINE AND POWER EQUIPMENT SHOPS CAN GET YOU A WATER TRAP, IT JUST DROPS INTO YOUR TANK AND ABSORBS WATER, IT'S ON A STRING AND FROM TIME TO TIME YOU PULL IT OUT AND CHECK IF IT'S FULL, PRESUMABLY YOU CAN LET IT DRY OUT AND IT'L WORK AGAIN, STRING CAN CLIP TO CAS CAP,

Mark run a can of seafoam through the tank, this will remove the water from you gas and card.
