Troy, It sounds like you have a "Sofare" 6x6? If it is I belive it is identical to my "Rough Rider" . How long do your belts last? We haven't used ours much ,but when I had it running the belts worked well.Ours had a 440 CCW motor in it and the belts never slipped. Mine has the "Green " industrial type belts. I wonder if a good quality belt makes a difference? Can you Email any pictures of yours ? Mine is butchered some and I wonder what some parts are supposed to look like . We have ours all apart right now . It looks like retrofitting another transmission into it would be a major job.Reverse would be nice to have. Someone suggested that an electric reverse motor like the old "Scrambler6x6s " had might be a cheaper alternative. Good luck with it.

Joel is correct in that a good belt make a lot it. Not all belts are created equal! I would suggest the use of "power belts" the green ones as they are made for this type of drive. As for reverse, the electric type works but it really only good for short use as it uses a electric starter motor. I also would like to see some pictures as I am not familuar with you model but sounds interesting!
