Hi folks, I have just purchased a new Max IV 600T. I have already learned a lot from reading the previous posts...what a great resource this site is!

I am going to be operating my ride in a variety of conditions ... high desert, mountains between 4000-9000 ft above sea level, and marshes. My question is this: what is the "collective wisdom" on minimal tools and spare parts to carry afield?
It doesn't take long to be REALLY remote in the mountains and open spaces of Oregon. I tend to be a "belt and suspenders" type but don't want to carrry a machine shop and 1:1 repacements, if you catch my drift.

I hope to learn a lot and eventually share something with this very astute group!

Regards,

Blackdog

I carry a small socket set, a phillips and flat screwdriver. I also carry a small first aid kit, a tow strap, 2 spare spark plugs, a fuel filter, and most importantly a couple of coozies to keep my drinks cold.

Thanks guys, all good input. I had everything covered but the plugs and filter! As for the cell phone, I don't leave home without it, but frequently we are in areas where there is no cell coverage! That's where the "cold ones" come in handy.
