I've had my 2000 Max II 16 hp with RI plow since early January and used it for light snow. Today we had 6.5 inches of heavy, wet snow here in Central Wisconsin with drifts to 2 ft. The Max did great. I had to raise the plow a little to get thru some of the big drifts and take narrow bites, but it took me 1/2 hour to do what my walk-behind snowblower would take 2 hr plus. I used Fred's idea from 9/99 and put cooking spray on the blade and that worked great.
We've tried to run in on the crust of deep old snow and until it fell through and had to shovel it out, it ran on snow that we sunk thru on foot. I can't wait to see what it does in the woods after the snow melts.

I built my own plow for my argo BF out of a lawn mower plow blade. I made a frame that hooks up to the trailer hitch and the tow lug on the front, I use the winch to raise/lower it, blade was widened by welding extesions to each side. It's not a strong set up but I'm carefull not to hit things and plow slow. Swaping your tires from side to side ie revesing the tread ^ gives you plent of traction. I've pushed snow to were it rolles over the top of the plow. See picture at http://uhpage.com/argohio
