I own a 98 Argo Conquest, I went to take it for a drive, and the driven clutch assembly broke, into several pieces. Anybody ever replace one? Are they spendy? Most importantly, can the homemechanic do it himself or is it a service rep visit? Thanks

OK, found out that my local dealer want $347 for OEM part, place in Iowa wants $84 plus shipping for after market replacement. Anyone have any dealings with after market parts, are they up to standard? I am still trying to figure out what I did to cause this, I have never run it without the belt, did get stuck on a steep hill yesterday, was very icy and there was a lot of tire spinning in low gear, could this have caused it? Thanks to all.

You can replace the whole driven clutch very easily, I have had mine off the trans. Remove the bolt from the end of the trans input shaft, then tap it off with a soft hammer. A new one is probably at least $200. (guess). You can also replace parts of it, but it would be difficult without special tools.

I think too that I was mistaken about the proper nomenclature, it is the driver clutch, not the driven one. I appreciate the emails, and responses, still realing from the $347 price tag, wow.

fro 8-12hp max however people will claim that they will work, and they
might for a while.

Richard has the fact that he has clutchs for everything in stock
posted all over this website. Why not just call him???????????????
