Newmax,
I don't how sturdy of a you are looking for.Take a look at North Pole Argo he has a picture of a Argo with a top that he makes on his site. You should be able to make work for your Max.I bought the Conquest with his top still floats and preforms as it should.Hope it helps you out.

Here is a homemade top. If you have a sewing machine and time you can make something like this. http://web.raex.com/~mbossart/images/buggy-r1.jpg We used 3/8" Lexan for the windshield. Email me for more details.

I have a top on my Max ll......I bolted a mylar Dumpster lid on my rollbar which extends about 6" past the windscreen...this allows the rain to run down the grooves of the lid and keeps the windscreen clean of falling snow. It is lightweight and you can easeily secure side rollup flaps to the lid.

Looking for a canvas top for a Max II. A canvas company gave me a rough quote of $350-$400 to fabricate something with zippered sides, windows and a back window that would snap in place.

Seems a lot cheaper than the RI tops, which I don't find especially well made. I can also specify a color other than green or camo. Anyone have any success with this approach? Have a pattern available??
