I WANT TO PUT A PLOW ON MY BIGFOOT THIS WINTER, I HAVE THE MOUNTS, BUT I NEED TO SEE HOW THE PLOW MOUNTS HOOK UP OR HOW TO MAKE THEM? WHAT SIZE PLOW SHOULD I BUY? 60 INCH OR BIGGER? DAVE WHEN ARE WE GOING TO GO RIDING? MY MACHINE IS RUNNING GREAT!!!

Tim, I cant help much, but I know that on the ARGOs, on the front axle that has the box thing around it, there are two bolts. Their is a backwords "L" shape bracked that mounts there. Thenthe plow arms connect to that. That is all I know-I've only seen it done once-but it looked easy.

Can't you just buy the one from ODG?? I believe that it is 60 inches but I will confirm. Every picture and real one I have seen are wider than the ARGO, I think that it is likely enough to get the job done. The only problem is that the plow may not always go down as far as you want. Any area where the snow is heavier, the plow may just rise over it.

The problem with the one from ODG is that it is way too damn expensive.

I have a factory plow for my Argo Bigfoot and it works great. Matt

I HEARD THE FACTORY PLOW IS WELL BUILT AND WORKS GREAT, BUT IT'S LIKE 1500 BUCKS. I WANT TO PICK UP A USED ONE IN THE WANT ADDS FOR ABOUT 150 BUCKS. I JUST HAVE TO MAKE ARMS TO CONNECT THE PLOW TO THE MOUNTS. AND FIGURE OUT WHAT SIZE PKOW I CAN RUN. MATT, WHAT SIZE IS THE FACTORY PLOW?

Tim, I found an old Wheelhorse snow plow, it is 60" wide. I made my mounts out of 1/4" steel plate. They are about 4"x10". I drilled holes to mount it to the front axel extentions (needed to get longer bolts). I also drill a 2 1/2" hole in the other end and then found a 2 1/2" dia. pipe and cut it to fit across the front of the Argo. I then mounted the plow to that. After I put the pipe in the brackets I bolted sheet metal over the ends of the pipe to keep it from sliding side to side.

Tim, I took 1/4"x4"x8" plate steel drilled hole to mount it to the front axle extrensions (needed longer bolts). I then drilled 2 1/2" holes for a 2 1/2" dia. pipe. I cut the pipe to fit across the front of the Argo. I bolted sheet metal over the holes on the ends of brackets so the pipe does not slide side to side. I then mounted my plow to the pipe. The plow is an old Wheelhorse 60" plow. Just a thought, it works for me.

How did it work.Is the snow much in your area, I am in Cape Breton Nova Scotia and we can get a lot. I just got a snow plow for Roper tracter and I am going to work on it to make it fit. MaxII I have.
It is only 46" long but I can add peices to each end. I am going to try your idea for the mount.
