  Howdy,

I'd like to make a light duty plow for my Max IV. I do NOT want to poke holes in the body. Anyone have any ideas?

I've been thinking about actually towing a plow.

What do you think?

Jeff I tried towing a plow with my tractor. It did not work out too well. I've seen it used this way to smooth out dirt but my application was not good. I then switched it to the front & used it for snow. This worked better but beat the frame up pretty good. I assume you need lots of weigth behind the machine once the snoe gets packed together. I stopped using it to save my tractor & bought a snowblower instead. Hasn;t snowed a significant amount since I bought it over 3 years ago. Sort of like snow insurance.

Your plow should probably be close to 1/4" thick for longevity. Put longer bolts in the axle bearings and pivot off of that.
