NOW THAT I HAVE DISCOVERED THAT THE STOCK CONQUEST WINDSHIELD GLASS CANNOT HOLD MY 250LB BODY FOR VERY LONG I AM IN NEED OF REPLACEMENT ADVICE.
MY GLASS STORE SUGGESTS LEXAN SINCE THEY CANNOT GET TEMPERED GLASS 1/8 INCH THICK AS IS REQUIRED FOR THE ARGO. THEY CAN ONLY GET 1/4 INCH WHICH WILL NOT FIT IN THE FRAME MOLDING.
WHAT HAS EVERYONE ELSE DONE?
BESIDES NOT BREAKING THEIR WINDSHIELD!!!!!!

I would not go Lexan. That stuff scratches with a paper towel. Go with the stock stuff. Thats my 2 cents.

I USED LEXAN AND HAD VERY GOOD LUCK, IT WILL SCRATCH BUT ITS VERY TOUGH STUFF AND I THINK ITS BETTER AND SAFER THAN THE GLASS.

I am on my THIRD windshield. One busted in a roll over. (Yes, you can roll an Argo Conquest over but it takes a really good slope to do it.) One busted when I hit a low hanging tree branch. A key point is the standard Argo windshield is safety glass built the same way as a car windshield. The idea is that it does NOT shatter into sharp flying pieces but is held together by an inner plastic film. Using plexiglass type materials can result in a break with really long, sharp pointed pieces. Don't know about you, but I will take the windshield design safety glass anyday. Sure it costs more, but sometimes safety has to be the PRIMARY concern.
