what are some things i can do to get some more performance from my 16hp vangaurd?k&n filter?muffler?any thing would help.thanks

I just had my muffler modified on the bigfoot. I cut the small tail pipe off and ran 1 1/2 in. pipe out of the muffler, 1 pipe for each cylynder so basically it is dual exaust with a muffler. I did notice a power difference in the take off and topend speed but it was starving for air. gonna try and find someplace to buy a kandN air filter and some bosch plantinum plugs. with no air filter on it really had more speed going down the road.
