I just finished watching "Code of Silence" [1985], with Chuck Norris. I came across it in the back of my video cabinet. Hadn't seen it in years. Anyhow... in the film, there's a police motorized assault vehicle called the "Prowler" that Chuck uses to aid him in his attack on the bad guys at the film's climax. This thing looked like a thinly disguised old 6x6 to me. The end credits say that the "Prowler" was built by a company called Robotic Defense Systems, Inc. in Thornton, Colorado. Now I don't know what their story is, but the "Prowler" sure looks like a doctored Swamp Fox to me! It's kinda hard to tell for sure though, as the top half is heavily altered. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Also... In a really (and I mean REALLY) low budget sci-fi flop called "Eliminators" [1986], the main character, a half-man/half-robot called the Mandroid, has an admittedly cool feature: he can detach his legs and plug his lower torso into the front of a tracked 6x6 thingy that, I guess, helps make him more unstoppable - for some reason or another. I suspect that his All-Terrain Module is actually a MAX or Argo, stripped down to the frame. Again, it's hard to be certain since the F/X boys did a pretty good job of changing the vehicle's appearance from stock. Plus, the majority of this thing's screen time takes place at night in a poorly-lit wooded area, making positive identification of the chassis even more difficult. The film co-stars 70's B-movie vet Andrew Prine and Star Trek: The Next Generation's Denise Crosby. So... If you happen across this film, and you: A) possess a high tolerance to cheese; B) feel the need to severly punish yourself; and C) have absolutely NOTHING better to do with 90 minutes of your life, then by all means, watch this turkey and see if you can figure out the shrouded origins behind the mysterious Mandroid's tracked 6x6 ATV module.

Anyone else care to share any 6x6 sightings on film or TV???

Speaking of AATVs on TV. After the 9/11 attack, I was watching the clean up effort, and I happen to some sort of 6x6 driving acroos the screen. I don't know what kind it was, but it was coll seeing a 6x6 helping to save lives, and clear away the rubble.

I think that might have been the SuperCat from UK. I think I remember someone else talking about seeing one on the news driving around outside the Pentagon. To check you can see pictures of the SuperCats in the Links section of Route 6x6 they have a website. To me the SuperCat is the most advanced 6x6 on the market, hence the extreme price.

i was watching TRUCKS, on TNN and they acually did a segment on the ARGO,BIGFOOT.they ran it through mud of course then they showed it running thru the woods. then i saw one on in-fisherman.they ran it across a frozen lake to go ice fishing. they also had a fourwheeler with it.but the ARGO was the pack mule.carrying most of thier gear, and running quite nicely.i'm not sure if the fourwheeler was holding back or the ARGO was accually running that fast.
