Is anyone familar with the REB? It was a 4 wheel amphibious vehicle. I remember it in an article in a 1988/89 Dirt Wheels magazine.
Anyway, are they still going? I remember they were popular all over the world.
Is there a used market for these machines?
Thanks,

Well I'm glad to hear there are more reb(els) out there. I have one in the shop that used to consume all my time until I got this machine I'm pecking on now. My reb is the baddest boy in the woods when it is working which is not very often. I called city hall in Louisiana where it was made. They told me thay moved to Shreveport and had a fire and all the molds for the body burned up and then they wenr out of business. My reb is really going pretty good now . It just won't back up. By the time I got all the slack worked out of the shifter I had eaten up the reverse gear. As for parts this is what I know. Don't even ask. A local power train company made me a new rear end for about $400 The biggest problem I have is breaking pins that hold the axles to the frount and rear ends. I've solved most of this by installing 1/4" keys that takes most of the pressure. Iused shifter boots and lots of silicon for the frount wheels and that stopped most of the water leaks and I installed frount and rear bilge pumps in case of emergencies which seem to occur on every trip. I would make you a buy mine or sell yours offer but we all seem to have the same problem so that would'nt help much.
