If you figure a pick up truck LONG BED is 8 feet long, and the tail gate is 2 feet, a four wheel ARGO will fit. A SHORT BED of 6 feet however would require 2 feet of the ARGO to hang over the tail gate. If you BACK the ARGO onto the bed, the weight distribution will put the majority of the ARGO weight on the tailgate. Not a good idea. If you put the ARGO on front in, as you come over the wheel wells, the ARGO will "dive" in the front and that can take out your rear window. I think the best combination would be the SIX WHEEL ARGOS with a long bed pick up. The ARGO will fit inside the bed and you should be able to close the tail gate. I myself just use a trailer.
